Commercial transparency

Revenue should not hide when money may influence what families see.

LookupCare is currently in development and is not yet operating a mature referral marketplace. The long-term business model is still being evaluated, and this page will change when a material revenue model is introduced or revised.

What is true on this pre-launch site.

This site provides general education about care settings, costs, licensing, and comparison questions. It does not offer live provider search, placement, quotes, availability, or provider-contact tools.

There are no live ranked directory results on this site, and providers cannot buy a position in a result list that does not yet exist.

Principles for a future business model.

  • Disclose material commercial relationships in language families can understand.
  • Do not allow payment to silently determine evidence or fit ranking.
  • Clearly label any paid visibility or sponsored content if it is introduced.
  • Keep educational content useful even when no provider relationship exists.
  • Update this page when the business model changes in a way that could affect families or providers.

Commercial disclosure is not a quality judgment.

A commercial relationship, or the absence of one, does not by itself establish whether a provider is appropriate for a family's needs. Families should use official records, written provider information, visits, and qualified professional guidance as appropriate.
